Jerry Parnacher has served at Weatherford Indian Baptist Church as transitional pastor since 2023. He became a Christ-follower as a young adult in 1992 after recognizing that he did not understand his profession of faith as a child. He has served as a teacher, preacher, and evangelism minister. Jerry was licensed at Faith Baptist of Ada and ordained at Ada First Indian to pastoral ministry. He is a graduate of Mid-America Christian University with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. 

Jerry is from Ada and resides in Newcastle, OK. He is Chickasaw and Mississippi Choctaw. He has been married to his wife Carla for 28 years. He has four adult children and twelve grandchildren. Jerry also works full-time as a licensed journeyman plumber. He is enthusiastic about Duke basketball, hamburgers, and time with the grandkids. 

Carla Parnacher joined Weatherford Indian Baptist Church in 2023 to serve in transitional ministry. She accepted Christ as a pre-teen through the faithful witness of grandparents and the ministries of Muskogee-Seminole-Wichita churches. She has served the church as a teacher, counselor, education director, treasurer, and in women’s ministries. Carla is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Social Work.  

Raised in rural and urban Oklahoma, Carla has a desire for the Native community to experience freedom be accepting Christ and understanding God’s Word. She is Muskogee and Cherokee, Wolf clan. She has been married to Jerry for 28 years. She is blessed with adult children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She works as a clinical therapist. Carla enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family. She is also a diehard Sooner fan. . .Boomer!
